Shoes of Hope

ART MILES SHOES OF HOPE 5 June 2007

It was great fun today. My principal has approved the trip on the 5th to New York. I would like to bring 3-5 students. Amy

On Friday, Leandra was painting shoes for the children of Uganda. The “Day & Night” scenes inspired her to talk about the economic disparity in Whittier, her neighborhood in Northeast Denver. Thank you so much for helping. The Denver Shoes will take part in an exhibit on June 5 in New York. Stella, Art Street, Denver

We held the shoe painting event March 3rd 2007 and it was a great success. We had 116 pairs of shoes painted by about 50 people. It was so much fun and I think everyone really enjoyed it. Another GLC member also held a shoe painting event for her community service fraternity and they painted 170 pairs of shoes. So we have tons of shoes to send to Uganda
